How would you describe your physical fitness level?

Most of us would probably say that we  leave much to be desired when it comes to how physically fit we are.  We would agree that we all could eat better and exercise more.  Especially when we know how important to our health it is to eat right and exercise.


How would you describe your spiritual fitness level?

 

Would you say that you have “fit” faith, or a faith that could use some strengthening?  Again, we would all probably agree that our faith could use some work—it isn’t as strong as it should be.  It is vitally important it is to our spiritual life that we regularly and consistent feed and exercise our faith, 

 

God promises that as we put our selves in contact with his Word and sacraments, our faith will be strengthened, we will be assured of our forgiveness and our home in heaven.  Our faith will grow.

 


Faith Fully Fit is a Spiritual Fitness Plan that is designed to strengthen your faith by doing just that, by putting yourself in regular contact with God’s Word and sacraments.

 

A “fit faith” is one that has a solid, consistent diet of God’s Word (through worship, group Bible study, and personal Bible study) and is regularly exercised (through daily prayer, a God-pleasing life, by interacting with fellow believers, serving the Lord with time, talents, and finances, and by sharing one’s faith).


What is the First Step to a Fit Faith?

 

The first step is to determine your current spiritual fitness level.  Where are you at now?  What are you currently doing?  Use the “Spiritual Fitness Assessment” to help you determine where you are right now.  Then use the “Spiritual Fitness Plan” to determine your next step, whether it is striving to attend worship more regularly, attend a group Bible study, or start a personal Bible reading program.  It will also help determine how you can begin to exercise your faith in your life.
